This Squier Classic Vibe ‘60s Jaguar electric guitar is faithful to the original with a vintage-style tremolo system for expressive string bending effects and floating bridge with barrel saddles for solid string stability. Small hands will appreciate the short 24” scale length and slim, comfortable “C”-shaped neck profile with an easy-playing 9.5”-radius fingerboard and narrow-tall frets. And FWIW, that was probably my quote from the Vintage Vibe site talking about the CC rider being great for jazz tones AND moderate distortion! The Vintage Vibe Electric Piano is a modern-day construction of a vintage tine-based piano. I'll probably tweak the pickup heights a little more over the next couple weeks to get them dialed in. But I was so disappointed with the guitar after getting it put together, I rarely even picked it up over the last 6 months or so.
I feel pretty stupid for not having checked that out before. I rang them for advice and they kindly suggested items to fit the room. They now sound a lot closer to what I'd planned them sounding like. Vintage Vibe - are the best - forget the rest (and no, they arent paying me) Having trawled ebay and the net I came across one name repeatedly in my search for a great quality chandelier and two wall lights - Vintage Vibe. I raised the CC a bit and lowered the bridge pickup. I think this made the CC seem weak and sterile when compared to, or combined with, the bridge pickup. The CC neck was lowered almost flush with the pickguard and the Tele bridge was up pretty high and close to the strings.
This is a shot of my Tissot Visodate (Black Dial) with a Milanese mesh strap. I got a chance to mess with the pickup heights a little last night. Decided to share my first watch as someone who has recently become a watch enthusiast. I had Pete put the most vintage and warm sounding magnets in the original pickup and he sent a set of the next hotter Alnicos as an alternative. although they are widely raved about so it's all relative), not to mention the easy magnet changes being a nice perk on the Vintage Vibes. Plus, the customer service and price were both great from Vintage Vibe (Lollar's customer service is also noted as being great, their price is a bit much to me.
I found it did clean stuff very well, and it's a fun pickup to run through an overdrive pedal and I kind of got the impression that they were maybe a bit more suited for doing both clean/Jazz type stuff AND the "greasy" dirty stuff, but that's just from what I remember somebody else writing more than a year ago when researching all my options. I found it very fat, clear, warm yet lively. Again, 2nd-hand info at best at this point since I've only tried the CC-Rider. Body and Neck A four-screw bolt-on neck connects the Poplar body and Maple neck a relatively lightweight yet sturdy combination.
